Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrive NJP → Gangtok
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Drive to Gangtok, enjoying stunning views of the Teesta River valley. Check in at the hotel. Evening free to explore MG Marg and local shops. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2 — Baba Mandir & Tsomgo Lake (43 km / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake — a glacial lake at 12,400 feet with pristine turquoise waters and an average depth of 50 feet — and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. The cool, pristine waters complement the surrounding scenic beauty of snow-capped peaks. In case of road closure or landslide, alternate sightseeing will be arranged. Return to Gangtok for overnight stay.
Day 3 — Gangtok to Darjeeling (116 km / 4–6 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Darjeeling — the Queen of the Hills — situated at 7,380 feet. The scenic journey offers panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan ranges and lush green landscapes. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Evening at leisure to explore. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 4 — Tiger Hills Sunrise & Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning drive (4 AM) to Tiger Hills at 8,364 feet for the breathtaking sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak. En route back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, explore the Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, and Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center. Ride the Darjeeling Ropeway for panoramic views of tea estates. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 5 — Departure via Bagdogra (110 km / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, check out and drive to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your onward journey. Tour ends with cherished memories of the Eastern Himalayas.
