Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Jammu to Katra (51 km / 1.5 hrs)
Arrive at Jammu Tawi Railway Station or Airport. Our representative greets you and arranges your transfer to Katra. Check into your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Katra.
Day 2 — Katra to Vaishno Devi to Srinagar (250 km / 7 hrs)
After an early breakfast, begin your holy journey to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan. Hire ponies and palkies from Banganga (at your own expense). After darshan, aarti, and puja, return to Katra by late evening. Continue the drive to Srinagar. Check into your hotel. Enjoy an evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake (pay directly). Overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 3 — Srinagar to Sonamarg (Day Trip)
After breakfast, drive to Sonamarg — the Meadows of Gold — situated 2,692 meters above sea level. Enjoy pony rides to Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains year-round (at your own expense). Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 — Srinagar to Gulmarg (Day Trip)
After breakfast, drive 56 km west to Gulmarg, nestled at 2,730 meters with snow-capped mountains surrounding you. Gulmarg features one of the world's highest 18-hole golf courses and Asia's longest cable car ride (Gondola) — soaring nearly 5 km up to 14,000 feet. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 — Srinagar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day tour of the Mughal Gardens in Srinagar — Shankaracharya Temple, Pari Mahal, Hazratbal Shrine, Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 — Srinagar to Pahalgam (90 km / 2 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam — the Valley of Shepherds — situated 2,440 meters above sea level. En route, see the Avantipur ruins, saffron fields, and Anantnag sulfur spring. Explore Aru Valley, Chandanwari, and Betaab Valley (cash only). Dinner and overnight stay in Pahalgam.
Day 7 — Pahalgam to Jammu (250 km / 7 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. We arrange your transportation to Jammu Tawi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
